Wesson dominates Crystal Springs

WESSON- The Wesson Cobras hosted the Crystal Springs Tigers Friday night for a close out win with a final score of 13-1 in Region 7-3A baseball action.

Wesson travels to Ellisville on Saturday, March 29 to play the South Jones Braves. Game time is 4:00 pm.

The Cobras racked the runs on the scoreboard to quickly dominate the Crystal Springs Tigers in four innings of action.

Wesson’s pitcher, Preston Adams, averaged four strikeouts, no walks and fielded 2 outs.

The Tigers only managed to get 2 hits for the night, which resulted in 1 run during the second inning.

Wesson’s Jace Alexander started the game off with a triple, which set the momentum for the game. Alexander also hit a single in the second inning. Austin Crow was also a big hitter and had a triple and single. Tyler McLeod had two doubles which averaged 3 RBIs. Preston Adams had 2 singles with a total of 2 RBIs.

The Cobras also got hits from Mac McQuage- double, Mack Smith- single and Conner Lowery- single.

Tiger’s pitcher, Gage Pinson, averaged four strikeouts and three walks.

Crystal Springs had two singles by Malik Johnson and Damion Brent. Brent was also the top fielder for the Tigers with 3 outs against the heavy hitting Cobras.

In junior varsity action,  The Cobras had a good showing against the Tigers winning 17-0.
