PHILADELPHIA – The Wesson Cobra’s tennis team was eliminated from team state playoff competition Thursday afternoon by the Philadelphia Tornadoes 4-3.

Wesson capture victories in girl’s singles action as Brandi McInnis won 6-1, 6-2.

In Girls No. 1 Doubles action, Maya Granger and Morgan Wesley secured a victory over Philadelphia 6-2, 6-3.

The No. 2 Boys Doubles team of Landon Lewis and Andrew Hart capture a 6-4, 6-3 win in their event against the Tornadoes.

The Cobras suffered tough losses in the Boys Singles, Boys No. 1 Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Girls No. 2 Doubles.

Wesson, coached by Rod Davis, concludes their first season in the Class 3A ranks.
