Lewis verbally commits to Ole Miss
Brookhaven senior linebacker Leo Lewis has verbally committed to play college football for the Ole Miss Rebels late Tuesday night.
“As far as I know, he has told me that he has decided to commit to Ole Miss,” said BHS football coach Tommy Clopton.
Lewis, 6-foot-3, 225-pound, four-star prospect, is a gifted athlete that loves to play football no matter if it is on offense or defense. He is rated as the nation’s 67th best player and No. 3 player in the state of Mississippi, according to 24/7 Composite.
This gifted athlete has been the talk of the town. He has visited several different colleges throughout the months to make his decision. His main three were Mississippi State, Alabama and Ole Miss.
Lewis recently visited Alabama this past weekend and took in a game at Bryant-Denny Stadium. It was his first trip back to Tuscaloosa since his de-commitment on July 18. Lewis committed to Alabama during the school’s spring game in April, but later re-opened his recruitment while on a trip to Mississippi State.
After Lewis’ decommitment he told everyone that he would probably wait until National Signing Day before making another decision. Following his decision many expected him to stay in the state of Mississippi.
