Mallory Holden signs with Co-Lin

Mallory Holden is taking her soccer talents to the next level. Loyd Star’s Center Forward/Captain has signed a soccer scholarship with the Copiah-Lincoln Community College Lady Wolves.

Holden, signed her official scholarship papers last Wednesday afternoon in the Loyd Star Library. She is the daughter of Chip Holden and Mary Dooley.

“I’m excited to have the opportunity to be playing soccer at the next level,” said Holden.

Holden mentioned that she is considering a career in business and marketing.

In Mallory’s sophomore year, she scored 16 goals and one steal. For her junior year, Holden collected 10 goals. Currently in her senior year, Holden has seven goals with two assists in six games.

“I think Mallory will do really well at the next level,” said Loyd Star coach Dale Brister. “She is a very hard worker and she loves the game.
