WESSON – The Copiah-Lincoln Community College men’s tennis team remain undefeated at 3-0 as they defeated the Holmes Community College Bulldogs 7-2 in recent tennis action.

The Wolves swept all three doubles matches from the Bulldogs. Dwain Perkins/Will Pennington defeated Owen Taylor/Nick Robertson 8-4 at No. 1 and Braxton Hinton/Drake Nelson took care of Dylan Throgmorton/Corey Warren 8-1 at No. 2. The No. 3 Holmes team forfeited to Co-Lin’s Brandon Nettles and Coleman Carraway.

The best match of the day came at No. 1 singles as Dwain Perkins outlasted Holmes’ Owen Taylor 2-6, 6-4, 10-8. Will Pennington defeated Nick Robertson 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 and Coleman Carraway took care of Sam Cain 6-2, 6-3 at No. 5. Co-Lin’s Drake Nelson picked up a win at No. 6 as Holmes forfeited.

Holmes picked up wins at No. 3 singles as Dylan Throgmorton blanked Co-Lin’s Braxton Hinton 6-0, 6-0 and Corey Warren defeated Co-Lin’s Brandon Nettles 6-3, 6-2.

Co-Lin travels to Ellisville to take on Jones County Friday, beginning at 1 p.m.
