WESSON – The Hinds Community College Lady Eagles edged by the Co-Lin Lady Wolves 5-4 in recent tennis action. The Lady Wolves (2-7) host Jones County on Tuesday, April 7, beginning at 2 p.m.

The Lady Wolves won at No. 3 doubles as Carlianne Alderman and Brandi McInnis defeated Haley Hicks and Kaitlyn Adcox 8-0. Hinds took wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. Rachel Rhett and Brittany DeCamp defeated Madison Warren and Carly Riley 8-1 and Brittany Weathersby and Kelly Carlson defeated Allie Dear and Caroleah Brister 8-2.

The Lady Wolves took wins in singles action as Warren defeated Weathersby 6-4-6-3 at No. 1, Alderman beat Hicks 6-3, 6-2 at No. 2, and Riley defeated A. Brown 6-3, 7-5 at No. 6.

The best match of the day came at No. 3 as DeCamp outlasted McInnis 7-5, 7-6 (8-6). For Hinds, Rhett defeated Dear 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2 and Carlson defeated Brister 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4.
