RAYMOND – The Hinds Community College Lady Eagles edged by the Co-Lin Lady Wolves 5-4. Co-Lin will play in the MACJC State Tournament April 15-18 in Tupelo.

The Lady Wolves picked up wins at No. 2 doubles as Allie Dear and Caroleah Brister defeated Brittany Weathersby and Kelly Carlson 8-5 and Carlianne Alderman and Brandi McInnis defeated Haley Hicks and Kaitlyn Adcox 8-2 at No. 3. Hinds the win at No. 1 doubles as Rachel Rhett and Brittany DeCamp defeated Madison Warren and Carly Riley 8-3.

The Lady Wolves took wins in singles action as Warren defeated Weathersby 6-4-6-3 at No. 1 and Riley defeated A. Brown 6-0, 6-3 at No. 6.

The best matches of the day came at No. 3 as DeCamp outlasted McInnis 3-6, 6-1, (10-6) and Hicks defeated Alderman 7-6, 5-7, and 10-6 at No. 5. For Hinds, Rhett defeated Dear 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 and Carlson defeated Brister 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4.
