The annual event of the Brookhaven Recreation Department Fishing Rodeo was at the Brookhaven Pond on April 11 from 8 to 10:00 a.m.

The Mississippi Department Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks sponsored by stocking the fish and assisting with the rodeo. The Bank of Brookhaven also sponsored the event by providing drinks, bait and prizes for participant.

Winners for the biggest and next biggest for a boy and a girl were awarded at the end of the event.
