“I am proud of the boys for the year that they had and having to play through the adversity of losing one of their friend/teammate earlier in the year,” continued Britt. “This has been a great group of young men to coach. The seniors will be missed, but as a coach we could not be more proud of the job they did while playing here. Hopefully, next year classmen can build on things from this season.”

The Hornets conclude their season with a 21-8 record overall. Loyd Star finished No. 1 in the Region 7-2A race with a perfect record of 10-0.
