Lawrence County infielder Jordan Harp has signed a softball scholarship with the Southwest Community College Lady Bears.

Harp signed her official scholarship papers Tuesday at Lawrence County High School. She is the daughter of Hershel and Jana Harp.

As a junior, Harp batted .333 for the Lady Cougars. Defensively, she posted a .800 fielding percentage. Harp also struck out 52 batters and gave up only 20 walks in 49 innings pitched.

“Jordan has grown so much since I met her in the ninth grade,” said Lawrence County coach Meleah Howard. “She really has stepped up her game and has worked extremely hard to get where she is. It has been a privilege to coach her. We will miss her next season, but we wish her the best of luck in whatever the future holds.”
