WESSON – Copiah-Lincoln Community College’s Athletic Department is pleased to announce that Lucas Calvert has been named the college’s new sports information coordinator.

“I am so excited to have Lucas become part of the Co-Lin athletic family,” said Co-Lin public information/sports information director Natalie Davis. “He brings enthusiasm and knowledge that will add to our athletic programs.”

Calvert’s responsibilities will include the day-to-day operation of the sports information office, which includes writing press releases, maintaining the athletic web site and social media accounts, taking photos

Calvert, a Louisville, Mississippi native, is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology concentrating in sport studies. He also holds an associate’s degree from East Central Community College. Prior to starting at Co-Lin, Calvert interned at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, working in the sports information department. While at East Central, Calvert was a member of the tennis team, the Wall O’ Sound drum line, and student government association. He also served in leadership positions as a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity while at Mississippi State.
