The Loyd Star Hornets captured a 4-3 victory over the Lawrence County Cougars Tuesday at the Brookhaven city courts.

The Hornets will return to action March 31 when they host the North Pike Jaguars at the city courts beginning at 4 p.m.

Girls Singles: Ashlyn Locke (LS) defeated Gracie White (Lawrence County) 6-0, 6-0.

Boys Singles: Hagen Brister (Lawrence county) defeated Gavin Thomas (LS) 6-3, 6-3

Boys No. 1 Doubles: Drew Nelson/Will Thurman (Lawrence county) defeated Connor Crosby/Blayne Brister (LS) 6-4, 7-5.

Boys No. 2 Doubles : Ty Nelson/Lane Rutland (Lawrence county) defeated Brantley Brister/Reid (LS) 6-2, 6-3.

Girls No. 1 Doubles: Morgyn Brister/Caylee Yarborough (LS) defeated Erika Alford/Karen Ruth Turnage 7-6, 6-4.

Girls No. 2 Doubles: Anna Thomas/Lani Smith (LS) defeated Keegan Thurman/Megan White (Lawrence county) 7-5, 6-1.

Mixed Doubles: Madisyn Brister/Bryson Brister (LS) defeated Sarina Dale/John Rutland (Lawrence county) 6-2, 6-3.
