8-year-old Lincoln County American All-Stars finish second in state

Photo by Anthony McDougle/  The 8-year-old Lincoln American All-Stars finished in second place in the state tournament after an 11-0 loss to Columbia in the championship game. The team will now advance to the Dixie Youth World Series in Laurel.  The World Series will begin July 30 with Lincoln representing Mississippi in the AA(machine-pitch division). Members of the team are Glenn Lewis, Seth DeGeorge, Carter Palmer, D.J. Washington, Wilson Calcote, Cole Spencer, Dawson White,Graham Smith, Ladarious Jackson, Bram Wolfe, Walker Brady and Casen Easterling. The Americans head coach is Shane Easterling. Assistant coaches are Colby Calcote, Jaymie Palmer and Durrell Washington.
