The Lincoln County School District has named Bogue Chitto Attendance Center teacher Chase Wallace as assistant principal for the 2024-2025 school year.

“Mr. Wallace has done an outstanding job in every role he has held, and we believe he will continue that tradition as assistant principal,” said District Superintendent Dr. David Martin.

Wallace is a 2007 Bogue Chitto graduate. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Coaching Education from the University of Southern Mississippi, and a master’s degree in K-12 Educational Leadership from the University of Mississippi.

Since returning to his alma mater, Wallace has served as a full-time bus driver, U.S. History teacher, head tennis coach, and Lead Teacher. He has been named Teacher of the Year twice and was chosen as STAR teacher twice.

A lifelong resident of Bogue Chitto, Wallace and his wife Sarah, a fourth-grade teacher at BCAC, are active members of Bethel Baptist Church. They have two children, 9-year-old Ainsley and 10-month-old Archer.

“As a third-generation Bobcat, this is a special opportunity for me,” Wallace said. “Make no mistake about it, these blue and gold roots run deep. I can’t wait to continue to work alongside Coach Sartin and the rest of Bobcat Nation as we continue to relentlessly pursue excellence.”
