Little, Savage sign with four-year colleges

WESSON – Two Copiah-Lincoln baseball players have signed scholarships to continue their careers next season at the university level. Infielder Mitch Little has signed with William Carey University and outfielder Dominic Savage has signed with Wiley College (Marshall, Texas).

Little,  a Copiah Academy graduate, was named First Team All-State after a sophomore season in which he led the team with a .360 batting average. Little also led the team with 11 doubles and tied for most homeruns with five.

DOMINIC SAVAGE

Savage,  a Port Gibson High School product, led the Wolves with three triples and batted .281 on the season. Known for his speed on the base paths, Savage tied for the team’s lead with 14 stolen bases.

During the 2014 season there were nine Co-Lin alums playing college baseball. They include Noel Santos (Central Michigan), Raymond Winter (New Orleans), Caleb Dugas (Northwestern State), Gabe Wilson (Belhaven), Stephen Joe (Christian Brothers), Jonathan Santana (New Orleans), Tyler Case (Mississippi Valley), Ryan Goddard (Mississippi Valley), and Tyler Simmons (Stillman College).
