MEADVILLE – The Franklin County Lady Bulldogs and Bulldogs secured a sweep over the Loyd Star kickers in high school soccer action Friday night.

In the girls contest, the Lady Bulldogs blanked the Lady Hornets 4-0. Franklin County received goals from Krislyn Kent, Shelby Smith, Kenzie Whitehead, and Jourdon Cummings assist Krislyn Kent.

In the boys game, the Bulldogs handed the Hornets a 2-0 loss. The Bulldogs’ goals were scored by Zeb Higgs and Marcus Durrell, which were assisted by Thomas Slagle and Kemo Verdin.

Loyd Star returns to action Tuesday as they prepare to host the Natchez Cathedral Green Wave for a pair of games, starting with the girls contest at 4 p.m., followed by the boys match at 5:30 p.m.

Franklin County will be in action Monday at they host the Wesson Cobras, starting at 5:30 for the girls game and the boys match begins at 7 p.m.
