The Brookhaven Cross Country girls and boys’ team placed first in their regional meet on Tuesday.

The Lady Panthers were led by Miyah Miller. She finished second with a time of 22:32. Gracie Gray came in third with a time of 22:55. Mary Rhea Waterloo was fifth at 24:53. Other runners were: Hannah Junkin was seventh (25:15), Jordan Fries 10th (25:33), Carley Craig 12th (25:35), Abby Roberts 13th (25:45), Cristina Craig 17th (27:52) and Bailey Pounds 18th (28:21).

The Panthers were led by Adrian Lockwood with a first place finish with a time of 19:33. Antonio Dillon was second at 19:42. Caleb McCreary came in fourth with a time of 20:00, Jacob Britt was 11th (21:05), Andrew Knott 12th (21:06), Noah Spear 13th (21:43), and Jonas Raguse 24th (23:57).

Brookhaven will compete in the MHSAA State 5A Meet Monday at Choctaw Trails in Clinton.
