MOORHEAD – The host Mississippi Delta Trojans held on for a 69-65 win over the Co-Lin Wolves Thursday night in a non-division contest. The Wolves (0-2) return to action on Monday, Nov. 16, at 3 p.m. against the Southern University Shreveport Jaguars in the Coca-Cola Classic hosted at Southwest Mississippi Community College. The Trojans led by as many as 17 points in the first half taking a 34-22 at halftime.

Co-Lin went on a 13-3 run to start the second half to pull the Wolfpack to within 36-32 with 14:44 left in the second half. But the Trojans would began to pull away and lead to as many as 13 with 3:11 left in the game.

The Wolves continued to battle pulling to within 68-65, but time ran out.

Leading the Wolves was Darius Kennedy with 16 points followed by Jadarius Haymer with 15 points. Donte Watson and Chris Williams added 13 and 10 points respectively. On the boards, Haymer pulled down eight rebounds and Watson with seven boards. Kennedy had seven steals.

Co-Lin shot 43 percent for the game (23-of-53) while the Trojans shot 50 percent (24-of-48).

For Mississippi Delta, Travon Harper had a game-high 19 points. Jaylen Ford added 10 points. Dantaveous Crawford came off the bench and chipped in 10 points.
